Children love to learn to read at the Reading Kingdom, and there’s no better way to celebrate their success than by giving them a free children’s book…

That’s right; we’re giving away a children’s book in this blog post!

We sent Lingo flying around the internet to find a fantastic children’s book to share. “The House That Wanted a Family” by Sue Spence Daniel is the great book for kids we’re giving away to FIVE of our lucky readers!

About the book:

In a town, not too big and not too small, there was a house. The house was like the other houses on the street except for one thing: it was empty.  There was no furniture in the rooms and there were no clothes in the closets. There were no books on the bookshelves or dishes in the cupboards. And there was no car in the garage.  In the front yard was a large sign that read “FOR SALE.”  The sign had been there a long time. The house thought the sign should say “Family Wanted.”

So begins, The House That Wanted a Family.

About the author:

Susan Spence Daniel has lived in the Midwest her entire life. Susan was born the 8th child in a family of 11 children and has a degree in Elementary Education. She loves to travel and keeps her suitcase partially packed at all times. She also loves to cook, ride bike and read.
