5 Learning habits to instill in your kids

  1. Help your child recognize that practice is essential for effective behavior in any area whether it’s sports, or music, or reading. In the realm of literacy, re-reading and re-writing are essential.
  2. Set up a quiet area that has all the materials your child needs.
  3. All devices not related to the school material (computers, ipads, phones, etc.) should not be available.
  4. Create a workable schedule with your child and ensure that he or she follows it.
  5. Sleep is one of the endangered behaviors in modern life. Make sure that your child is (a) stopping work at least an hour before going to bed and (b) getting enough hours of sleep each night.
