By Valerie Strauss for The Washington Post  The parents of an Ohio student decided to give teachers an unusual gift: wine with a picture of the student’s face on it. It came emblazoned with this   message:

“Our child might be the reason you drink. So enjoy this bottle on us.”

According to WHIO-TV, Mary Sommers and her husband, Paul, decided to have some fun with the teachers at Ascension School in Kettering and put a picture of their son, Jake, an eighth-grader, on bottles of wine.

Daniel Joseph “DJ” Sommers, who is their eldest son and a sophomore at Ohio State University, tweeted about the gifts, and it went viral. DJ Sommers gave media outlets permission (including The Washington Post) to use the photos.

WHIO-TV quoted Mary Sommers as saying: “How many coffee mugs does a teacher need? But who doesn’t need a glass of wine after teaching a kid like mine?” she said.
